This Fantasy Portrait was made for my friend Gwen. She sent me a picture of her mother- who was clearly a very beautiful woman. I've heard Gwen talk a lot about her mother over the years and she sounds like an amazing person. Gwen has often described her as the kindest, most nurturing person she has ever known. She now suffers from Alzheimer's Disease.

I grew up just 4 blocks from my grandparents. We celebrated every holiday with them, I just loved their big yard and big house, so full of antiques and love. I cam across this picture of them and I knew it had to become a Fantasy Portrait- they seemed so young and full of love. They were married 51 years when my grandfather lost his battle with cancer.
"They said I do... and they did."

Was it wrong?

Here's my latest- a tribute to my great friend J! :) I've shared wine with her many times...
I had to design it on the diagonal so I could place it into this pendant.

We stared here with a picture of little Grace, dressed as Dorothy for Halloween.

Here's the first look at the "Fantasy Jewelry." I think these charms look great coupled with other pendants. This piece is done in the antique copper-colored finish.

This is an adorable couple whose wedding I shot last spring. One thing I love about shooting weddings is how the couples just exude love for each other on their big day!

Never stop believing

Sweet little Emmerson here has a real life fascination with dinosaurs so they seemed fitting for her portrait!

Zebra

I love the contrast with the zebra here- and the adorable pixie fairy flying through the air, I think she must have been swinging and then got bored and decided to take flight!

Smile

I love vintage cameras and toys and things. The sock monkey has made an appearance a few times now - I guess I am intrigued by them. They are sort of cute but sort of creepy too!

The view from above

I loved Mary Poppins when I was a child - always thought flying with an umbrella would be uber cool! And I love the surprised look on her face- as if she really is flying away!

A Mother

There are few thing things as precious as a mother carrying her unborn child.

Blue eyes

This little guy had the brightest blue eyes ever. It was stunning with his red hair so I really wanted to put something together that complemented those colors.
